The Problem
Create Now is a non-profit organization that aims to empower youth from underserved communities through arts programs.
They are facing problems with volunteer retention (volunteers don't show up for selected shifts or don't commit to volunteering)
User Research
After conducting user interviews, we gathered that volunteers want to find an organized community that shares the same values and mission, as this provides incentive and motivation.
Wireframing
Our research findings prompted us to design a social volunteer app, with features that gamify the sign up process and connect users to other volunteers and organizers.
Design Iterations
The final prototype took account of Create Now's plan to rebrand and used their color scheme.
We implemented the following features to target each problem.

Future Plans:
- Chat feature: design/develop contact creation + message sending/receiving
- Map: incorporate map to allow service opportunities to be discovered within
- Profile section: edit the layout, determine hour tracking display
- Login: split between organizers and volunteers signing in
- Organization accessibility: allow volunteering organizations to post stories + approve hours
